Podcast - EP #1 - Exploring SaaS Marketing with Fahad Ahmed from SocialChamp.io

Today, we will be exploring the conversation between Hassan Malik from SnapRytr and Fahad Ahmed, the SaaS Community Manager at SocialChamp.

Fahad Ahmed is a Community Manager at SocialChamp, a SaaS SM Management Tool that provides a single dashboard to manage complete social media, connect channels, and schedule posts. SocialChamp also provides client management for agencies, shareable calendars, analytics and reporting, including the “engage” feature, reviews & comments, content creation, Canva integration, video integration, photo editing, and bulk upload. Fahad ensures that SocialChamp has an active community group to facilitate users better and also acts as a Social Media Evangelist.

When asked about how SaaS marketing is different from the rest, Fahad mentioned that it is solution-oriented, needs to have an understanding of the target audience persona, and needs to have a strong social presence for brand awareness. Automation is an important factor in saving time and sales funnel and stage identification is essential.

For 2023, Fahad believes that AI and chatbots will create opportunities for solo workers (the one-man army) while also being a threat to some skill-based jobs. He believes that community building is the emerging SaaS trend and that metaverse, Pinterest, shopping experiences, and augmented reality are the best way to explore business opportunities.

Fahad also provided some tips to create great copywriting that resonates with potential customers. He suggested that one should focus on the journey, search intent, and pain points with a solution. He also highlighted the need for consistency, automation, and USPs to stand out from the competition. Lastly, he suggested that emotional content should be used to create an impact.

Finally, Fahad and Hassan discussed the importance of massive content production and quality production. Fahad suggested that there needs to be a balance between the two, with AI being used to generate massive content and human input being used to ensure quality. Hassan suggested that Google penalizes spam content and not AI content, and that Google needs new concepts to be brought to the market in order to rank better.

In the next session, Hassan and Fahad will be discussing why it is important for a brand to build a community, with case studies from Figma.

We hope you found this session informative and insightful. Stay tuned for the next session.
